Stress Solutions for the Soul: April 22

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,

patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

gentleness & self control.” Galatians 5:22-23

Too often the last fruit of the spirit takes a back seat in

our lives. Self control is essential if you desire to put

into motion positive thinking and responding to life.

This week make it a priority to exercise self-control

When it comes to the choice of intonation you use with yourself 1st

and foremost (inner self talk) AND with other human

beings around you. Allow the fruit of kindness to

shift your delivery of information. What does your intonation

sound like within your mind? Do you use an

encouraging intonation or judgmental and critical?

Dear God,

Grant me the grace of encouraging inner self talk that

has a gentle, loving and kind intonation. I am willing to

open up my soul to the grace of this fruit which flows from

your Spirit within me. I am willing to consider that I can only give out

to the world what I nurture and expand within myself. I

choose to show up with self-control this week and I

give you permission to remove the virus of negative

talk within and through me so that by my thoughts, words &

deeds I make you recognizable in this world and in the

process expand my own interior happiness. I want the

silent, holy night experience of knowing and being

known by you…of loving and being loved by you to

fill my internal and external experience of life on earth.
