3 Steps to Boost Your Energy this Week 

 

In addition to drinking small amounts of water every 20

minutes and eating several small healthy meals throughout

your day, weave in the following self care practices several times each day, beginning 1st thing in the morning…

 

  1.  Alternate Nostril Breathing:using your finger tips close the right nostril breathe in deeply through the left nostril => Switch and close your left nostril as you Breathe out through the right nostril, breathe in through the right nostril => Switch and close your right nostril Breathe out through the left nostril, breathe in through the left nostril => Switch and close the left nostril and breathe in deeply through the right nostril, breathe out through the right nostril => Switch and close the right nostril and breathe in through the left nostril, breathe out through the left nostril.  Repeat several times. We only breathe predominantly out of one nostril.  When we are out of balance we are heavy breathers from one nostril.  This creates biological balance.

 

  1. Stand up. Bounce on the balls of your feet. Use your fingertips to gently tap on the space under your collarbone, beginning at the center of the top portion of your chest area and briskly moving out to where your arms are attached to your torso, and then briskly tap back in towards the center of your upper chest area. Continue for 1-3 minutes. This activity will give you a mental mind break as well as increasing the energy in your body.

 

  1. Squeeze hard and massage the reflex point for stress relief located by the webbed part of your hand between your pointer and thumb. Make sure to grab ahold of the tendon and work through any soreness to relieve stress within the body. End with clapping your hands together briskly for 1 minute.
