“A Cheerful Heart is Good Medicine” Proverbs 17:22
Yes, Yes, a cheerful heart is good medicine indeed. The
challenge we face on a daily basis lies in our ability to
choose to nurture a joyful heart over discouragement.
As Rumideclared so wisely:“Past and future veil
God from our sight; burn both of them up with fire.”Perhaps
thefirethat Rumi is referring to is the light of our
awareness. For example, when a fearful thought pops into
your mind…look it straight in the face and call it for what it
is: false evidence appearing real blinding your ability to
access your God Given natural state of being: Joy &
Confidence:
“I am a child of the living God, ALL things are possible for
me I CHOOSE God over this flimsy perspective, I am
capable of handling any situation that unfolds before me.”
Practice the following responses to life this week in
response to downcast thinking:
* Whistle
* Hum
* Skip
* Laugh (fake it till you make it)
* Dance
* Observe People vs React
* Be Here Now
* Focus on What IS Working Out for You & Declare It
in Your Out Loud Voice
Dear God,
When I panic and give my attention to discouraging
thoughts I Lock Down the ability You have given me
to access successful solutions and the POSSIBLE. I
choose you over every downcast thought so that all doors
within my castle open up to your victorious
presence and this beautiful cheerful heart that you have
blessed me with can once again beat naturally & without
effort.
