Stress Solution for the Soul: June 3, 2014

“Every branch in me that does not bear fruit He takes away.

Every branch that bears fruit He prunes it so that it will bear

more fruit.” John 14:2

When I went through the experience of a double

mastectomy, I remember thinking that I was pruning for

growth, removing all that was potentially hazardous to

my health and well-ness.  The growth aspect came in

my ability to love and accept myself with or without

hair and breasts.

Take a few moments this week and reflect on those

areas of your life that are not producing fruit and perhaps

creating a leak in your health and well-ness.

In order for positive growth to emerge in your life it is

essential to remove old habits, belief systems and

responses to life that do not support your health and

happiness.

Prune for Growthspiritually, be willing to part with those

responses to life that feed the flesh: cravings, lust and

boasting.

Dear God,

I give you permission to prune those areas in my life that

you desire to replace with beautiful fruit. Override my

cravings, lusts and boasting with inner peace, gratitude &

humility. I want to remember what my soul already knows,

I lack nothing when I seek your will over my own.
